Included are paintings by J. Elwood Bundy, a Quaker artist born near Greensboro with important family ties to Guilford College, Michael Ananian, a member of the UNC-G art faculty, and former visiting artist, David Finkbeiner; drawings by visionary painter Minnie Evans, from Wilmington, NC, and Alexander B. Jackson, an artist from Norfolk, Virginia, who trained at Yale University; prints by American artist Alexander Calder, British printmaker and book artist Ian Tyson and French Belle Époque portraitist Paul César Helleu; and ceramics by North Carolina potters Tom Suomalainen and Daniel Johnston.
Works by current and former Guilford art faculty members (George Lorio, James C. McMillan, David Newton, Roy Nydorf, and Adele Wayman) are also featured, along with art alumni Aliene deSouza Howell ’04, Julia Harmon ’09, Katie Maloney ’13, and Alejandro Salcedo ’14 and Ray Knirs ’16 who collaborated on a ceramic vase.
