Research, Tutoring, & Writing Support

If you need help with your research or with citations:

  • Students in need of basic research support should consult Hege Library's research guides page, for guides designed for specific subjects and courses, along with other valuable resources. They can also access our Student Support page, where among other things they will find links to research tutorials, citation guides, and the "How Do I..." Guide, which provides guidance on a wide array of aspects related to conducting research and accessing library resources.
  • Students in need of advanced research support can make an appointment for a consultation with William Kelly, Digital Pedagogy and Scholarship Librarian, at research@guilford.edu.
  • Students who need access to the Quaker Archives can email Gwen Erickson, Quaker Librarian & College Archivist, at archives@guilford.edu.

If you need help with Canvas, a digital project, or any other instructional technology:

  • Students in need of basic tech support should consult library guides or Hoonuit. Students may also submit a ticket at the ITS Help Desk site or consulting ITS personnel in Bauman or at the Help Desk @ Hege.
  • Students in need of individualized support with campus learning technologies such as Canvas, Google Apps, Microsoft Office, and Zoom can drop by the STARS Desk, which is located on the second floor of Hege Academic Commons. Current hours for the STARS Desk can be found at the desk and in other areas throughout Hege Academic Commons and on campus.
