Hege Library, like many academic libraries, uses the Library of Congress Classification system to assign call numbers. This system uses letters and numbers to sort books into subject areas, and each title has its own unique call number. This outline of the Library of Congress Classification can be used to determine where titles in a general subject area may be found in our library. For more information about the Library of Congress Classification system, how to find materials please ask at the Information Desk on the main floor A more detailed version of the LC Classification is available at the Library of Congress Webpage, http://www.loc.gov/catdir/cpso/lcco/
