LSTA Mobile Edge Grant 2019

Digital Media available to request

Faculty may request the following digital media for checkout for courses. Please note that a limited number are available and an application form is required. 

Apple iPad Mini


Included with checkout:

  • 1 Apple iPad Mini 7.9 inch screen, 64GB, wifi enabled, Apple iOS                                          
  • Protective Case                                                               
  • Power brick & charging cord                                          
  • Stylus
  • iPads will be preloaded with standard apps and other requested apps specific to course work and projects                                                                              

Samsung Galaxy

Included with checkout: 

  • 1 Samsung Galaxy Tablet, Model A 10.1, 32 GB, wifi enabled, Android OS

  • Tablets will be preloaded with standard apps and other requested apps specific to course work and projects    

Pansonite VR Headsets (Limited number available)

Included with checkout:

  • 1 Pansonite VR Headset. Complete 360 immersion with a wide 120° field of view. 
  • Note that headsets require a smartphone and apps in order to engage in VR experience. 


Also available to checkout with the VR headsets: 

Apple iPod Touch (when a smartphone is needed to use with VR headset)

Educational subscriptions to Descript and Hindenburg, two audio software applications, specifically requested by the QEP coordinator, that will facilitate mobile audio editing and podcast creation for students.

Matching funds in the amount of $10,864.00 are made possible by the Guilford College Friends of the Library.
