College History Resources in the Quaker Archives

As the official repository for college records, the Quaker Archives is responsible for Guilford’s institutional memory, preserving records of enduring value and making them accessible.

Located within Hege Library, the Quaker Archives is open to researchers weekdays by appointment. We recommend researchers email archives@guilford.edu to consult with our Archivist about resources prior to a visit. However, students and others are welcome to drop by the collection during our open hours. Students may contact us if special arrangements are necessary. 

Records related to the history of Guilford's integration are found in Guilford College publications, archival and manuscript collections, and files housed in the archives. Research compiled by the archives staff in 2012-2013 for commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Guilford's integration in 2012-2013 is gathered in this LibGuide.
