The following databases will help you find articles. Because PPS is such an interdisciplinary department, databases covering many different subject areas have been suggested.

Tips for searching in databases:

Be sure to have some keywords in mind before you begin searching.
After you search, use the filters on the left side of the results page to narrow down your results. The most important things to choose are "Full Text Available" and "Peer Reviewed."

Over 8,200 publications are available in this multi-discipline database, with full text for nearly 4,650 of those titles.

General reference database for over 175 subjects from magazines, journals and newspapers, including peer-reviewed and scholarly works.
Points of View Reference Center This link opens in a new window
Provides students with a series of essays that present multiple sides of a current issue.
ERIC (Education) This link opens in a new window
Indexes over 750 journals in the field of education from 1966 to present. Includes full text of ERIC Digests from 1967 to present.
Sociology Database This link opens in a new window
Sociological and social work research including culture and social structure, history and theory of sociology, social psychology, substance abuse and addiction, and more.
APA PsycINFO This link opens in a new window
An expansive abstracting and indexing database devoted to peer-reviewed literature in the behavioral sciences and mental health.
