Finding and using ebooks

Hege Library provides access to over 350,000 electronic books in the humanities, sciences, social sciences.  Some collections are available in our AZ list of databases and others are discoverable through a catalogue search. Click on the View eBook button to read each book. 

The tabs to the left have detailed instructions for using eBooks from all vendors and for all device types. When you find a book you want to read or download, click on the title to learn more. Click into the page for the vendor and follow their instructions if you need help.

Please note that you may need to create a free account with the vendor in order to download or save ebooks. You may also need to download ebook reader software such as Adobe Digital Editions. 

• Advanced Search

  Enter your search term(s), click Limit Your Search, and then choose eBook in the drop down menu under Format.
• General Library Search

  Or, after a general library search, use the limiting tools along the left side of your results screen. Check the box for Elon University Libraries; click on Show More under Formats, and select the eBook box. Click the View eBook button to begin reading.

Look for a Cite button on the homepage for each eBook.
