Hege Emerging Scholars Award

Information about the Hege Emerging Scholars Award

H. Curt '56 and Patricia S. '57 Hege Emerging Scholars Award

The Hege Academic Commons, with the generous support of the Hege Family, is delighted to continue its support of the H. Curt '56 and Patricia S. '57 Hege Emerging Scholars Award. Each year, two awards recognize exemplary efforts in research and writing in Historical Perspectives (HP) classes.

Each awardee will receive $500 and the opportunity to present their work at the Guilford Undergraduate Symposium (GUS). At GUS 2025, each presentation will consist of two parts: a short introduction to your project and reading a passage from it. For a full list of deadlines and requirements, please see below.

The Hege Emerging Scholars Award is co-sponsored by Library and Learning Technologies and the Learning and Writing Center.
