This guide is to help Guilford student connect to resources they need to knowledgeably cast their ballots in U.S. elections, including methods to vote locally or by absentee ballot and how to find reliable information about candidates.

Fall 2024 Election Dates To Know

Fri., September 6th Absentee by mail voting begins

Fri., October 11th (5:00 p.m.) Voter Registration Deadline (Residency Deadline 10/06/2024)

Thurs., October 17th Early Voting begins

Tues., October 29th Last day for civilians to request absentee ballot by mail

Sat., November 2nd (3:00 p.m.) Early Voting ends

Mon., November 4th (5:00 p.m.) UOCAVA Deadline – Absentee Requests for Military and Overseas Voters

Tues., November 5th (7:30 p.m.) Last day to return an absentee ballot by mail in person (or received by mail)

Tues., November 5th (6:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.) NC Statewide General Election
