The MISO Survey is a web-based quantitative survey designed to measure how faculty, students, and staff view library and computing services in higher education.
During the 2017 - 2018 academic year, Hege Library administered MISO to a cross-section of current Guilford students, faculty, and staff.
The MISO Survey addresses the following research questions:
This guide was created to document progress as the Library develops goals, outcomes, and assessment methods that are aligned with Guilford College's Mission, Core Values, and Srategic Long Range Plan (SLRP) II. It will serve as a ongoing resource to the Academic Commons staff, to our campus community partners, and for the College community at large as planning and implementation continue to unfold.
Launched and developed by Bryn Mawr College in 2005, the MISO Survey has collected more than 100,000 responses from students, faculty, and staff at 83 different institutions. This information helps us understand which services are most valuable to our constituent groups; how our patrons, especially our students, use information technology; and whether there are further enhancements that will provide future benefits.
Please see the MISO Web site for additional information about the survey.
