For Faculty: COVID-19 Instructional Continuity in Spring 2020

This guide is a copy of the original Instructional Continuity Guide used during the move to remote teaching in Spring 2020 due to COVID-19. It exists to retain and share this collection of resources for anyone who needs them.

Zoom

See more information about Zoom, including instructions for getting logged in to your institutional account and setting up meetings, at the library's guide to Zoom.

Adobe Creative Cloud

For classes that require the use of Adobe Creative Cloud software (such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and the like), Adobe is offering free temporary home access through 5/31/2020. Your computer must meet the minimum requirements listed here to run Adobe CC.

To enable access to Creative Cloud Desktop apps on your personal device, please follow these instructions.

SPSS

From ITS, on their continuity of operations webpage: "SPSS is temporarily offering free unlimited home installations for schools with SPSS institutional licenses. These free licenses are good through the end of our current contract period, 6/30/2020. To install the software, you will need this license key [Guilford Google email login required]."

Please follow these instructions from ITS for installing and configuring SPSS on a Windows or Mac machine.

Microsoft Office / Office 365

Reminder: Microsoft Office is still available for free download by all Guilford college students, faculty, and staff. Go to http://login.microsoftonline.com/ and log in with your Guilford email address and network password to access. See these instructions from ITS for a more detailed walkthrough.
