Service Alert
Recordings of our existing Zoom workshops are available online for anyone who would like to view them: the recordings have closed captions, thanks to Zoom's transcription feature. Please note that these recording are only available to authenticated users in our Zoom instance, so you must be logged in to your Guilford Zoom account to view them.
If you're experiencing issues with Zoom, you can check https://status.zoom.us/ to see if it is an issue others are experiencing as well, and if so, what Zoom is doing to resolve it and what the resolution timeline is.
The College has purchased a site license to Zoom to better enable web-conferencing and synchronous virtual class sessions. Upon login, faculty and staff are equipped with Pro accounts that allow instructors to create breakout rooms, record sessions to the cloud (with transcription provided by Zoom), share whiteboards, poll students, and more.
Here are instructions (also embedded below) on how to begin using our instance of Zoom. ITS has set up authentication via our Guilford Google accounts. If you have an existing Zoom account with your Guilford email, you will be prompted to transfer it over to a new Pro account.
If you have questions or experience any issues with Zoom, please put a Help Desk ticket in at https://webhelpdesk.guilford.edu or by emailing webhelpdesk@guilford.edu.
