This guide is to help Guilford student connect to resources they need to knowledgeably cast their ballots in U.S. elections, including methods to vote locally or by absentee ballot and how to find reliable information about candidates.

What is all this stuff?

In addition to the major national and state level races, major election years also often include more local level races and voter decisions. This guide focuses on the ballot you will see if voting with Guilford College as your residence. Be prepared for similarly long ballots for other locations. If in doubt, it is ok to skip making a decision on a race. However, take time to learn more. Local officials can determine things much more likely to impact your daily life and how resources may be utilized in your local community.
